Every astronaut will tell you there is no way to properly describe the feeling of orbiting Earth. Our commercial astronaut program is now open for applications. Let's start the journey of a lifetime!


Astronaut candidate Selection

We are currently open for Astronaut selections for the following classes:

  • 2023

  • 2024

  • A waiting list for future classes is maintained

To become an astronaut candidate at the Spaceflight Institute, we invite you to submit an application via the form on this page.

For your initial application you will be required to submit the following documents:

  • Cover letter

  • Resume

  • 3 letters of recommendation

Applicants are encouraged to seek corporate, institutional or nation-based sponsorship for their training.

After an initial screening, pre-selected candidates will be interviewed virtually by a panel of industry experts. At this stage, a psychological and medical review and a final screening is performed before matching the accepted candidates into teams.
